Elton John Defends Himself

The France-Presse reported that this photo which belongs to Elton John was confiscated by the police who deemed it inappropriate.

The British singer was presenting his photo collection at the Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art in Gateshead last week.  The photo known as Klara and Edda Belly–Dancing was seized by the police the day before the exposition opening.

This photo was taken by artist Nan Goldin.  The photo of the two children is part of the Thanksgiving collection by Goldin, which includes 149 photos.  The photo has been exposed in Houston, London, Madrid, Warsaw, Zurich and Portugal, without any objections.

The police stated that the photo in question is being examined.
