Elton John Is Back on His Feet
John says that he is back on his feet again and "bouncing around" after being cooped up in the hospital for the flu and an E. coli infection earlier this month, reports BBC News.
The 62-year-old singer spoke about his recovery during his annual benefit evening for the AIDS Foundation in New York.
He said, "The worst thing about being in the hospital was that it’s the first time I’ve been in bed for about nine days in the whole of my life."
In addition, John was forced to cancel several shows booked in England and the United States. He added, "The worst thing was having to cancel shows, I hate that. But I’m back on my feet and I’m bouncing around now."
The singer was hospitalised on October 30 after suffering from flu symptoms. The doctors then discovered that he was also suffering from a case of E. coli, bacteria that infects the intestines.
