For their annual induction ceremony, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has a habit of asking artists who have already been inducted to help welcome new members of the select club that helps preserve their place in music history.

Each new Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee is welcomed by another artist, and this year is no exception, with the Hall of Fame calling on Elton John, Neil Young and Paul Simon to induct the elected representatives of the newest artists assigned the legendary status.

This year, Neil Young will welcome long-time friend, Tom Waits. Elton John will induct his recent collaborator Leon Russell, and Paul Simon will welcome fellow Brill Building songwriter, Neil Diamond.

Non-member musician and film director Rob Zombie will induct his hero Alice Cooper. Among others on the welcome committee: John Legend for Dr John, and Bette Midler for her singing idol, Darlene Love.

The induction ceremony takes place on Monday, March 14 at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel, and will be broadcast live on Fuse TV.
