Auburn, who wrote the screenplay, will be making his directorial debut in the project. Filming is set to begin this fall in New York.
Traumatised by the disappearance of her three year-old daughter, fifteen years earlier, Julia Sandburg (Sarandon) cuts herself off from anyone who cares about her, including her husband and son. When Julia meets a troubled young woman with a checkered past, all of her painful wounds resurface, as well as an irrational hope that the girl may be her long lost daughter.
Auburn recently wrote the script for the film The Lake House, which starred Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
