The script, which was written by Nancy Oliver (Six Feet Under), follows the story of Lars (Gosling), a lonely young man and his unconventional relationship with a lifelike doll that he finds on the internet.
Filming is set to begin in Toronto in October. The movie should be in theatres in July, 2007.
Emily Mortimer is best known for her roles in the films The Pink Panther and Matchpoint. Ryan Gosling is best known for his role in the love story The Notebook.
