Eminem thanks his girls

The rapper says his daughters gave him the courage to stay sober for the past two years.

Rapper Eminem battled drug addiction for a long time. People reports he dedicated his new album, Recovery, to the battle he waged against Vicodin, Valium, Ambien and Methadone.

The 37-year old artist, born Marshall Mathers, confided that it got to the point when he would pop up to 20 pills a day. He said, "I used to get pills wherever I could. I was just taking anything that anybody was giving to me."

The rapper has stayed on the wagon for the last two years but says it is no thanks to rehab. He reveals he was getting harassed all the time: "People at rehab were stealing my hats and pens and notebooks and asking for autographs. I couldn’t concentrate on my problem."

Eminem says it is thanks to his kids that he managed to kick his addiction.

He talked about his biological daughter, Hailie Jade, and his two adopted daughters, Lainey and Whitney, saying, "I love them so much and they’ve helped me through so many things."

Eminem recently revealed that he also received support from singer Elton John who offered him advice when he needed it.
