Eminem to headline Montreal’s Osheaga Festival

Three-day summer festival also features Elvis Costello, The Flaming Lips, and Tragically Hip.

Rap star Eminem will be headlining at the Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal, Canada this summer, alongside several other major acts like Elvis Costello, The Flaming Lips, and Tragically Hip, reports the Montreal Gazette.

One of North America’s biggest concert festivals, Osheaga finally unveiled its official lineup yesterday (April 11). With so many acts booked to play, organizers have extended the previous two-day format— adding a Friday event to the weekend festival, which runs from July 29 to 31.

The eclectic line-up includes a mix of genres, spanning best-selling recording artists to indie musicians who were once the main focus of the festival. Other notable names on the roster include Death Cab for Cutie, Death From Above 1979, Tokyo Police Club, Eels, Bright Eyes, and Kid Cudi.

The host city is well-represented as well, with Montreal natives Bran Van 3000, Sam Roberts Band, and Karkwa, the French-language Polaris Prize winners.

Three-day passes go on sale this Friday (April 15) with special early-bird pricing for a limited time. Classic Passes (Saturday and Sunday) and single-day passes will go on sale April 21.
