Eminem’s fifth week at the top
Early sales records for Rick Ross and his Teflon Don seemed to indicate the end of Eminem’s Recovery reign atop The Billboard 200, but he has regained lost ground in the last few days and stood his ground for the fifth consecutive week.
Moreover, his sales have only declined 4% from last week, a minor drop that suggests he could hold steady for a while yet.
Last week, 187,000 more Eminem fans snapped up his last record, as opposed to the 176,000 units moved by Rick Ross.
In addition to the Billboard 200, Eminem also retains his top spot on the Billboard 100 best singles with Love The Way You Lie, his duet with Rihanna–the video for this single is expected any day now, and when it arrives, it should generate even more attention that will no doubt benefit the album.
Sheryl Crow’s 100 Miles to Memphis took the third position with 55,000 copies sold, while Drake follows with Thank Me Later, released one week before the Eminem’s Recovery.
