Emma Rossum Starring in Dragonball

Twentieth Century Fox recruited Emma Rossum to star in the movie adaptation of the Japanese manga, Dragonball.

The 21-year-old actress will have the starring role in this movie. Rossum will play Bulma, Dragon Ball’s daughter, who was kidnapped by Lord Piccolo (James Marsters). Justin Chatwin will play Goku, a warrior who must protect the earth from a group of villains that want to dominate the universe.

The screenplay was written by James Wong, who will also be directing. It was based on the comic by Akira Toriyama, whose manga also became a television series and video games. Filming will take place in Los Angeles and Mexico.

Rossum has acted in The Phantom of the Opera and Mystic River. She also launched an album, Inside Out, with Geffen Records.
