Emma Watson, future fashion designer?

Fashionable Harry Potter star seeks to "challenge herself creatively."

Harry Potter star Emma Watson wants to become a fashion designer now that the highly successful film franchise has come to a conclusion, reports the Daily Mail.

"Emma wants to challenge herself creatively. She’s obsessed with art at the moment," revealed an unnamed source. "She’s already designed a line of T-shirts and wants to expand her skills to create bespoke evening-wear."

As for her influences, the source added: "She looks up to designers such as Georgina Chapman and Sarah Burton. She has also been studying the work of Joan Miro to inspire her."

The 21-year-old Watson has already been making waves in the design community: modelling for Burberry, helping to create several lines for eco-friendly U.K. label People Tree, and eventually becoming creative adviser there. She also worked with Italian fashion house Alberta Ferretti to design an environmentally-friendly collection called Pure Threads.

Despite a childhood spent working on film sets, the bright young actress is a top student. After cutting short her studies at Brown University in Rhode Island, she’s now registered to begin classes at Oxford in her native U.K.

According to the source, Watson has already been taking lessons in fabric-cutting, design and sewing in order to develop her skills as a designer.
