With the final Harry Potter installment cleaning up at the box office, Parisian beauty brand Lancôme has unveiled a behind-the-scenes look at their newest ad campaign for Trésor Midnight Rose perfume starring Emma Watson, reports Coco Perez.
"The fragrance is very wholesome," says Watson in the video. "It’s very sweet and warm and playful. There’s something magic about midnight, and the concept of a flower that blooms at this time."
Watson – who portrays Hermione Granger in the popular film series – was spotted filming the ad in Paris this March, and now the first images have started to surface, along with a behind-the-scenes teaser video.
"I was incredibly flattered to be asked to be ambassadrice," Watson revealed. "I just think [the brand] represents some really amazing women, but it also manages to remain very relevant and current and modern."
The 21-year-old starlet appears alongside French actor Cyril Descours in the new television ad, which Watson describes as a modern but timeless love story.
"I think all of the Lancôme fragrances have a theme of romance to them in some way. I wanted there to be a sense of optimism and fun, and a sense of youthful energy and positivity," she explained.
"What I love about the story that we put together was that it’s almost like fate – it’s chance that brings the two of them together. You never know what’s going to be around the corner… Life is just kind of magical and full of surprises. I wanted the love story to be about that. There’s something modern and also timeless about that kind of story."
