Harry Potter beauty Emma Watson, 20, might be teaming up with Twilight beast Taylor Lautner, 18, to play the romantic lead in Incarceron, a film that’s he’s also producing.
Lautner is signed for the sci-fi movie adaptation of the Catherine Fisher novel that tells the story of a self-sustaining prison where one generation of inmates gives birth to the next. Lautner plays the role of 17-year-old Finn who has lived his whole life in prison. Inspired by a prison escape legend, Finn teams up with the warden’s daughter, Claudia, (Watson’s potential role), to mount a fantastic escape from Incarceron.
According to MovieWeb, Watson appears to be the favourite for lead actress, although the names of Blake Lively and Jennifer Lawrence have also been discussed. The science fiction thriller is scheduled for filming later this year, for theatrical release in 2013.
Watson is awaiting a release date for her latest film, the drama My Week with Marilyn, in which she co-stars with Michelle Williams who plays Marilyn Monroe.
Since his breakout role as Jacob Black in the Twilight vampire romance film franchise, Lautner has become the highest-paid teen actor in Hollywood. Fans of the actor can see him in the action movie Abduction due out in theatres September 23, 2011.
