Emmy Nominations Revealed

The Emmy Awards recognise the best talents in television, as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.  The awards ceremony will be broadcast liveon August 27, on NBC.  The host of the show will be Conan O’Brien.

Here is a list of the categories and their respective nominees:

Best Actor/Comedy: Charlie Sheen (Two and a Half Men), Kevin James (The King of Queens), Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Steve Carell (The Office) et Tony Shalhoub (Monk).

Best Actress/Comedy: Debra Missing (Will & Grace), Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (The New Adventures of Old Christine), Lisa Kudrow (The Comeback) et Stockard Channing (Out of Practice).

Best Actor/Drama: Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Denis Leary (Rescue Me), Kiefer Sutherland (24), Martin Sheen (The West Wing) et Peter Krause (Six Feet Under).

Best Actress/Drama: Allison Janey (The West Wing), Frances Conroy (Six Feet Under), Geena Davis (Commander in Chief), Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) et Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit).

Best Dramatic Series: 24, House, Grey’s Anatomy, The Sopranos et The West Wing.

Best Comedy Series: Arrested Development, Curb your Enthousiasm, Scrubs, The Office et Two and a Half Men.
