Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias honoured a bet recently. He said that if his country’s soccer team won the FIFA World Cup, he would go water skiing naked in the Bay of Biscayne in Florida. Well, they won and he did.
Iglesias told People magazine last month: "I need to get my Brazilian wax before I do it. Actually, I’m just waiting for a day off. A bet’s a bet." The singer went on to say: "I used to do it in high school, so what’s the big deal?"
A video of Iglesias water skiing in the shark-infested waters around Miami was obtained by TMZ.com. It was a dark night but the footage clearly shows a naked man water skiing. A spokesperson would not confirm the man on the tape is Iglesias but did admit the singer was in Miami during the last week of July.
There were rumours the police would try to thwart his efforts but Iglesias brushed that off, saying: "I never got arrested in high school for doing it. Can you really get arrested for skiing naked?"
