Eric Bana Becomes a Criminal

Eric Bana could be starring in the remake of the French film Le Convoyeur, which is for now, going under the new title, Armored.

According to Variety, actor Eric Bana is currently in negotiations with Millennium Films to play in Armored, a remake of the French film, Le Convoyeur.

F. Gary Gray (The Italian Job) is also being asked to direct the project.

Written by David Ayer and Andrew Kevin Walker, the story is about a man who works for an armored car company. By the good graces of his colleagues, who are relying on him to carry out their burglary plans, the man hides his true reasons for participating in criminal mischief.

Filming is set to begin on April 1, 2009.

Eric Bana’s participation in the movie depends on his availability, because he is currently obligated to promote Star Trek, in which he plays Nero. The film opens in theatres on May 8, 2009.

Le Convoyeur was released in 2004 starred Albert Dupontel and Jean Dujardin.

Armored may undergo a title change, since a film bearing the same name is due in theatres next year.
