Erin Wasson new face of Replay

Italian fashion company unveils new ad campaign featuring American model.

Italian fashion brand Replay has announced American model Erin Wasson as the newest face of the brand. Wasson is set to appear in the new advertising campaign for Replay’s spring-summer 2011 collection, reports Vogue.

The first images released from the campaign show Wasson in a tie-dyed leather jacket, white T-shirt and jeans, draped in a large American flag.

The Texan model was photographed by New York-based photographer, Chad Pitman, to help further the brand’s "American Way of Life" image.

Replay was founded in 1978 and rose to prominence in 1989 when it pioneered the use of double-ring denim in jeans manufacturing. Replay’s first North American branch opened in 2004, and although they do not have any branches in Canada, international shipping is available through their website.

Wasson has appeared on the covers of AllureEsquire and Vogue France, and was the face of Maybelline in 2002. Last month, the model launched her own line of jewellery, Low Luv, available through colette. She has also landed a few small acting roles: in 2006, she guest-starred on the short-lived ABC Family series Beautiful People, and more recently had a role in Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere (2010), starring Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning.

As brand ambassador for Replay, she succeeds models Renata Sozzi and Ana Beatriz Barros.
