Erykah Badu Returns to the Studio

Erykah Badu has hit the studios again to record her new album.

Billboard.com confirmed that the singer is back in the studio just over one year after she released New Amerykah, Pt. 1: 4th World War.

Badu is working with her long-time collaborator, James Poyser (Love Of My Life, Danger), on the follow-up disc. The new album will be called New Amerykah, pt. 2: Return of the Ankh.

No release date has yet been confirmed.

The first album of this series sold more than 354 000 copies in the United States.

On July 8, Badu began her tour in Milan. She will be stopping in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Nice, Detroit and Atlantic City before she wraps up in Memphis on September 10.
