Evanescence back after 5 years

North American tour to support October 11 album launch.

Multi-platinum and Grammy-winning rock band, Evanescence, will release their highly anticipated self-titled third studio album on October 11. Hits like Bring Me to Life and My Immortal showcased Amy Lee’s soaring operatic vocals, nicely contrasted by hard rock instrumentation.

Marking the band’s first release since 2005’s The Open Door, the12-track Evanescence was recorded in Nashville and produced by Grammy winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Rush).

The band debuted their first single What You Want live on MTV August 8 before it was released for radio play the following day.

"We are so excited to release this thing,” Lee described the album in an MTV interview. “We’ve been working on this music for a very long time, and seeing it all finally come together is a really amazing feeling. This album is about us and also our fans – we’re combining the best of Ev with some new attitude and we’re just dying to share it.”

Evanescence will also hit the road this fall for a North American 15-city tour that kicks off October 10 in Oakland, California and continues through to November 1 in New York City.
