A mere 10 minutes of physical exercise still shows benefits one hour later.

U.S. researchers found that just ten minutes of exercise at a steady pace provides metabolic changes that are still measurable one hour later.

70 participants in good health ran on a treadmill. Researchers discovered that more than 20 metabolites were changing throughout the exercise as well as natural substances that work to eliminate fat and improve blood sugar control.

Even 10 minutes can be very beneficial. The researchers point out that the more people are in shape, the more they can enjoy these benefits. They will burn more calories which will help them to either lose weight or stay in shape.

Other more detailed studies will be conducted on the subject to understand the metabolism of the body during physical activity. However, it has long been known that exercise and good nutrition can keep several diseases from developing.
