Everyone still loves Marineland 50 years later

Niagara Falls’ largest waterpark reaches half-century mark.

Marineland is one of the most popular Canadian destinations for a family holiday, and has been for a long time. The Niagara Falls waterpark is 50 years old this summer, reports Canoe Travel.

A host of activities and entertainment await both adults and children alike. With killer whales, dolphins, walruses and seals on display, and a large variety of amusement rides, Marineland offers a variety of attractions for the whole family.

Artic Cove is home to beluga whales, where visitors are allowed to touch and feed these friendly white whales. Friendship Cove is one of the most popular attractions with its killer whales’ splash and jump sessions available for both above and underwater viewing.

The park is home to rides like the ‘Sky Screamer,’ the world’s highest triple tower ride, which takes passengers over 137.2 meters (450 ft) skyward providing a thrilling ride, not to mention a spectacular view of the Falls. Hang on tight, though, because riders are launched up and down at speeds of up to 96 km/h (60 mph).

These are just a few of the activities offered by Canada’s favorite waterpark. Open from May to October, with a nearby campground, you can find out more by visiting marineland.ca.
