All is well in Ottawa.
In the case of the aborted Evgenii Dadonov deal, who was unfairly traded (for only a few moments) from the Golden Knights to the Ducks despite his no-trade clause, the Senators were found guilty of a lack of communication in the matter.
And it’s going to cost them.
According to the NHL’s announcement, the club will have to give up one of its short-term first-round picks. They’ll decide whether that happens in 2024, 2025 or even 2026.
