Excalibur May Return to the Big Screen

Warner Bros. Studios and Bryan Singer are working on a remake of the film Excalibur.

Variety has learned that one of the best known medieval stories, Excalibur, is returning to the big screen.

Warner Bros. is currently in negotiations to revive the life of King Arthur and his Knights at the Round Table.

In collaboration with the studio, Bryan Singer, who already has the first two films of the series X-Men and Superman Returns under his belt, will head this new project.

The new version of Excalibur will be a remake of the 1981 John Boorman film. The project is still in the early stages, with Warner Bros. tying up the remake rights, which it shares with Boorman.

Singer is currently not available for filming the King Arthur movie, because he is working on Jack the Giant Killer and preparing for the film adaptation of Battlestar Galactica.
