Eyewear by John Galliano

John Galliano is set to launch his own version of sunglasses and eyewear.

John Galliano signed a deal on July 24 with the Italian company Marcolin and Les Jardins d’Avron to design his own collection of eyewear, reports FashionMag.

Galliano is joining this branch of the industry just like many other designers, including Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli, Tom Ford and Jean-Paul Gaultier, who have also developed their own line of specs.

The contract, lasting five years, involves the global manufacturing and distribution of sunglasses and optical wear for men and women, created by John Galliano.

Galliano’s first designed models are expected to arrive in the fall of 2009.

The eyeglasses will selectively be sold in top namebrand boutiques, as well as in John Galliano boutiques.
