Singer Patrick Stump revealed that the four band members recently met at bassist Pete Wentz’s wedding and discussed wanting to record a new album, reports FemaleFirst.
Stump commented, "It’s one of those things music-wise where the band is really not talking about a record yet, but we’re all itching to do one."
The singer added that although there is new material available, the group hasn’t gone into the studio yet. He explained, "So it’s weird, because there’s been rumours of us doing our next record for a long time, but it kind of comes from a misunderstanding about how we work because we’re always writing. We’ve had material since our last album, ‘Infinity on High’, dropped."
