Fall Out Boy Performing in Antarctica

Fall Out Boy would like to beat a world record by doing a concert in Antarctica.

The group Fall Out Boy would like to beat a Guinness Record by being the only group to have played in all seven continents in less than nine months.

The group will be performing in a research facility gymnasium in Antarctica on March 25.  The band will board a private jet from Chili for a 90-minute flight to Antarctica.  The members of the group will head to Base Presidente Eduardo Frei Montalva, a research station on the Fildes Peninsula.

The group’s singer, Pete Wentz stated, "Well, I was just sitting around and wrote [FOB’s manager] Bob [McLynn] an e-mail saying, ‘Let’s be the first band to go to all five continents’ — only he wrote me back, ‘There are seven.’ "
