Farrelly Brothers Set to Make Francis Veber Film

DreamWorks has obtained the movie rights to the French film by Francis Veber, La doublure, and have hired Peter and Bobby Farrelly to make a Hollywood version, entitled The Valet.

The project will be the third remake by the Farrelly brothers, who also were behind Fever Pitch and The Heartbreak Kid.

The Valet is based on the film by Veber, which has earned more than $17 million since its release in France.  The movie is the story of a valet who is caught in a photograph between a wealthy man and his mistress, which leads to comedic entanglements.

Allan Loeb will write the script and co-produce the film for DreamWorks.  The Farrelly brothers will also be co-producers.
