The DJ, whose real name is Norman Cook, decided to put an end to his alcohol problems.
The news was confirmed by his rep, Garry Blackburn, who stated, "We’re being open and honest about this. Norman’s gone in voluntarily to sort out his drinking problem."
Blackburn added, "He went in earlier this week. And he’s great. He just needs to sort things out."
The 45-year-old star is married and has a nine-year-old son.
The biggest successes in Fatboy Slim’s career were the songs Praise You and The Rockafeller Skank, released in 1999.
