Felicity Jones for D&G cosmetics

British actress is the new face for Dolce & Gabbana The Make Up.

Despite tax troubles, Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana announced yesterday (November 28), that British actress Felicity Jones is the new face of their cosmetics line, The Make Up, reports Coco Perez.

Having been confirmed as a spokesmodel for Procter & Gamble Prestige Products, which produces the makeup and fragrance lines under license from Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the 28-year-old brunette will appear in a series of ads for the luxury brand at the beginning of next year.

The actress, whose latest film Like Crazy won the Special Jury Prize at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, will represent the Khol Collection, in a campaign which is said to depict Jones as “an aristocratic, sauvage girl.”

The designers said in a statement, “representing a heady mix of sensuality, confidence and beauty, Felicity Jones offers a sense of divine contradiction. Classically beautiful yet modern in attitude, her audacious gaze is impossible to ignore.”

The first advertising campaign featuring Jones will launch in January 2012, however the brand hasn’t specified whether she was replacing actress Scarlett Johansson or joining her on the modeling roster.

Since 1996, Jones has been slowly but steadily making a name for herself in British television, film and theater. She is currently in post-production for the film Cheerful Weather for a Wedding, a comedy drama adapted from the 1932 novella, and co-stars Elizabeth McGovern and Luke Treadaway.
