According to ComingSoon.net, director Frank Miller is in talks about the making of the film adaptation based on his own comic book series, Hard Boiled, which he wrote with Geof Darrow. Hard Boiled is about the life of an insurance investigator who becomes a killer.
In 2001, Warner Bros. announced that they were in negotiations with Miller and Darrow to write the screenplay. At that time, the film was to be directed by David Fincher, and Nicolas Cage was to play the lead.
In the meantime, Frank Miller has many other projects on his agenda. He is busy directing Sin City 2 and 3, which are set to debut in 2009 and 2010.
