Owner of luxury hotels, Ritz Carlton, has opened its first hotel that has been certified eco-friendly by the Leadership in Energy and Enironmental Design.
The new hotel opened on October 1st and is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The hotel consists of 146 rooms including a green roof and an air cooling system which acts through evaporation of water from leaves.
In addition, this hotel has a water purification system, the employees uniforms are made from recycled plastic bottles, free parking for hybrid vehicles, free bike rentals and conference tables made from recycled aluminium.
