You have two very popular bands both with new albums – Foo Fighters and Radiohead – and two radically different marketing strategies.
On Monday, February 14, without any preamble, Radiohead simply announced – on their website – the release of their new album The King of Limbs on Saturday, February 19.
American rock band Foo Fighters formed by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, however, has been teasing fans and slowly eking out the details of their latest album, and today, has finally announced the actual title, Wasting Light.
After revealing the April 11 release date, the track list, and the title, all that remains to be seen is the Foo Fighters cover artwork. Stay tuned, as they say.
