Foo Fighters release documentary DVD on June 14

Back and Forth directed by Oscar winner James Moll.

Fans of the American alt rock band Foo Fighters can get an up close and personal look with the June 14 release of a new documentary about the band, Back and Forth, directed by Oscar winner James Moll.

The documentary returns to the Foo Fighters’ roots, including a demo tape Dave Grohl recorded when he was a drummer in Nirvana.

"Sixteen years and seven studio albums later, with the help of Academy Award-winning director James Moll, we’re able to tell the story of how that one demo cassette turned into the band that we are today," explained frontman Dave Grohl. "This is our side of the story. From the first rehearsal, to the completion of our new album, it’s all there."

After 16 years, the Foo Fighters show no signs of slowing down. The band remains so popular that their latest album, Wasting Light, released April 12, has already climbed to number one on the album charts.

On June 14, the documentary will be released on DVD and Blu-ray, exclusively at Best Buy until July 12. Impatient fans will be able to download the doc from iTunes on June 7, however it won’t contain the 35-minutes of special features including additional interviews and deleted scenes, which are available on the DVD and Blu-ray.
