According to Variety, Forest Whitaker, Adrien Brody, Elijah Wood and Cam Gigandet have joined the cast of the psychological suspense flick, The Experiment, which is the remake of Das Experiment.
Paul Scheuring, the creator behind the series Prison Break, will be directing the project as well as writing the script.
Das Experiment was initially made by filmmaker Oliver Hirschbiegel, and told the story of a group of ordinary men who participated in an experimental study, where half of the group played the role of prisoners and the others became prison guards. Soon, the separate groups fell into the mentality of victims and sadists.
Brody will play the leader of the prisoners, while Whitaker will play a guard who becomes corrupted by power.
Filming begins next month in Iowa.
