Francis Ford Coppola Robbed

Francis Ford Coppola had his screenplay stolen.

Armed robbers stole Francis Ford Coppola’s laptop which contained the screenplay for his next movie, Tetro.

The incident happened in the director’s Zoetrope offices in Argentina. Noticias Argentinas, a local news station reported that there were at least five gunmen, who stole computers and cameras. Coppola was not in Buenos Aires  when this happened.

Filming for Tetro was scheduled to begin next year with Matt Dillon in the starring role, playing an Italian artist living in Buenos Aires.

Coppola, 68, director of The Godfather, and winner of five Oscars, was unfortunate to have his laptop stolen which had valuable information for his work.
