Frank Sinatra gets the metal treatment

Ol’ Blue Eyes taps into metal fan base on new SIN-atra album.

Sometimes it might be better to leave older songs in their traditional state, however metal musicians aren’t exactly known for playing it safe. This new tribute album to crooner Frank Sinatra may have had its genesis with the Sid Vicious version of My Way.

Metal musicians, including Dee Snider, Glenn Hughes, Robin Zander, and Joey Belladonna, have been recruited to record their version of Sinatra classics like New York, New York, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, and Strangers in the Night.

The album comes from the same folks that gave us We Wish You a Metal Christmas back in 2009. Due for release March 28, this album, SIN-atra, just might introduce Ol’ Blue Eyes to a whole new set of listeners.
