Frank Sinatra Is An Inspiration

Ne-Yo has been inspired by Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack in the making of Year of the Gentleman.

Nearly one year after the release of Because of You in May 2007, the 25-year-old rapper is ready to introduce his latest work in the album Year of the Gentleman, which will be available on June 24 under the Def Jam label.

Concerning his third studio album, Ne-Yo told Billboard.com that Rat Pack members Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. had served as a source of inspiration. Ne-Yo said, "For me, the sharpness of Sammy and Sinatra is the kind of style I strive for in clothes and music. ‘Year of the Gentleman’ is named in honor of those guys."

The album features songs about love such as Closer, So You Can Cry, Stop This World and She’s Got Heaven In Her Eyes. Also on the list is a song recorded in collaboration with Fall Out Boy member, Patrick Stump.

In addition to his latest project, Ne-Yo is also going to write songs for Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Céline Dion and many others.
