Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s Greatest Hits

Frankie Goes to Hollywood is putting out a new compilation album.

The group that tied an English record with their three debut singles at number one in the 1980s, will soon release a new compilation album of their hits.

The band changed the music world, becoming the flagship of homosexual electronic music and singing lyrics that the British censure deemed shocking, such as in their double album Welcome To The Pleasure Dome. The video of their big hit, Relax, which is still popular today, was even banned, which consequently sent the group sailing to the top of the charts.

Frankie Goes to Hollywood did not, however, make waves with their sophomore album, and the group later dissolved. Years later, Holly Johnson, the frontman for the Liverpool fivesome, announced his retirement from music after testing HIV positive.

The album Frankie Say Greatest, which also includes remixed songs, will be in stores on November 2.
