The Hollywood Reporter announced that the actor will join the cast of the popular television series, 24.
Prinze Jr. will make the jump to television by playing Davis Cole, a former Marine Corps officer who will direct operations at CTU, an anti-terrorist unit in Los Angeles.
He will play a regular character in the Fox series, and intends to follow in the footsteps of Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland, who has carried the show for the past 7 years.
The eighth season of 24 is currently filming.
