The terrifying Freddy Krueger will be back to the big screen. Producers Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form have decided to bring back the franchise with New Line.
The famous killer starred in nine movies and two television series, since the show was created in 1984 by Wes Craven. The production of the tenth sequel is presently on hold because of the screenwriters strike.
The production company, Platinum Dunes, would also like to bring back Friday the 13th. They are also doing Near Dark (Samuel Bayer) and The Birds (Alfred Hitchcook), starring Naomi Watts.
