Gaga over England

Pop star castle-shopping in UK.

Singer Lady Gaga has fallen in love with England and, following in the footsteps of Madonna, is reported to be looking for a home in the British countryside, according to Music-News.

A friend of the star said: "’No expense will be spared in her quest to make this dream come true. It’s her childhood dream and she’s particularly interested in castles in the north of England or Scotland.”

This week, we learned that Gaga was also thinking of buying a property on the exclusive island of Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts, United States, in anticipation of the conclusion of her Monster Ball tour, which began in 2009 and is scheduled to end in 2011.

The singer’s mind is elsewhere this week, as she mourns the passing of her beloved grandfather, Joseph Germanotta.

Gaga had spoken of his illness in May, breaking into tears on stage during a concert in Nottingham, England, and dedicating her song Speechless to him.

“I don’t always talk about my personal life but my grandpa’s sick,” she told the audience. “And I’m really close with my grandpa and he’s really sick and he’s in the States and my dad’s with him. So I was, like, crying all day, really sad. So I thought I might just be honest and tell you that’s what’s going on.”
