The 47 year-old star, who plays Sirius Black, will not be returning for the next film. The news was confirmed by the actor’s agent. Oldman appeared in two of the Harry Potter films.
Filming for the fifth installment, The Order of the Phoenix, begins shortly at England’s Leavesden Studios. The movie is expected to open in theatres on June 29, 2007.
