George Clooney Becomes a Consultant

George Clooney could be starring in a film adaptation of the novel, "Up in the Air."

Clooney is in talks to play a role in the film Up in the Air, adapted from a Walter Kim novel.

Montreal cinematographer Jason Reitman (Juno) finished writing the screenplay a few weeks ago and presented it to Clooney.
Reitman will also sign on as director of the project.

Clooney would be playing Ryan Bingham, a management consultant whose job is to downsize personnel for companies. His true passion is to rack up on Air Miles, as he hopes to travel to eight cities in six days.

In the meantime, Clooney will once again be sharing the screen with his buddy, Brad Pitt, in the comedy Burn After Reading, opening in theatres on September 12.
