Following the deaths of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson on June 25, certain people seem to be getting a kick out of adding more celebrity deaths to the tally, after rumours first surfaced alleging that Jeff Goldblum died in the middle of shooting a film in New Zealand.
After this rumour was immediately denied, it was Britney Spears’ turn to fall prey to the pranksters, who pirated her Twitter account and announced the singer’s false death.
Clooney is the third star this week under target. His rep quickly denied the rumour, although this devious joke has caused the actor’s close ones and friends unnecessary distress.
