Across the world, humanitarian aid is being organised for Haiti, a country which was completely destroyed after an earthquake struck. The quake, which measured 7.0 on the Richter Scale, shook the country on Tuesday (January 12).
Many celebrities have been personally affected by the tragic event, and several are now joining forces to inspire generosity. Paris Hilton, Ben Stiller, Lindsay Lohan, Adam Lambert and Oprah Winfrey have all appealed to the public, asking for donations to help the Haitian people.
George Clooney is organising a telethon to be held next Friday (January 22) on the entire MTV network, which includes VH1. The actor hopes to have his famous friends on hand at the telethon to help with the cause, reports Us magazine.
Yesterday (January 14), Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who are friends with Clooney, donated one million dollars to Doctors Without Borders in order to help doctors provide medical care to survivors in Haiti.
