Britain’s The Sun has learned that George Clooney could be starring opposite Johnny Depp in the Walt Disney Pictures film, The Lone Ranger.
Clooney would be taking on the role of the legendary cowboy and Depp will play Tonto, the Lone Ranger’s loyal Indian friend.
It has not yet been confirmed if Clooney has signed on for the part, however the actor has admitted to being a big fan of The Lone Ranger and has great admiration for the American icon.
George Clooney will soon begin shooting the historic film Men Who Stare at Goats with Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. The film will open in theatres in 2010.
