According to Production Weekly, Clooney will be working for the third time with brothers Joel and Ethan Coen on the project. The actor worked with the Coens for the films Intolerable Cruelty and O Brother, Where Art You?
The new project was inspired by the Stansfield Turner book entitled "Burn Before Reading: Presidents, CIA Directors, and Secret Intelligence". Turner was a CIA director from 1977 until 1981.
The film will centre on a CIA agent who is writing a book and loses his identity. Clooney will play a killer in the movie.
Filming is set to begin in August, 2007, after Clooney, 45, finishes directing Leatherheads.
