George Lucas Makes Big Donation

Legendary director George Lucas has made a massive investment in his former university.

The man behind the cinema saga Star Wars has announced that his private foundation will be donating $175 million to the University of Southern California (USC) to reconstruct their film school.  The USC film school is one of the most prestigious schools of its kind in the United States.

Lucas explained, "I discovered my passion for film and making movies when I was a student at USC in the 1960s, and my experiences there shaped the rest of my career."

The 62 year-old filmmaker is worth an estimated $400 million.  He is currently working on several projects, including Indiana Jones IV, which will be in theatres in 2008.
