Jennifer Aniston’s latest main squeeze, actor Gerard Butler, is at the centre of a new controversy after a man claimed that Butler striked his dog’s head, reports People.
Fred Varecka says that the actor hit one of his greyhounds, Mayfly, when the dog got into a scuffle with Butler’s dog, Lolita, who was not on a leash. A witness stated that the greyhound attacked Lolita, and Butler had no choice but to physically intervene to protect his pet. The source said, "As far as I know, they are exaggerating; Gerry is an animal lover and simply separated the dogs."
Butler’s rep added, "Gerry is not going to respond to this because he knows he didn’t do anything wrong. He’s devastated that these people are saying these things, he would never hurt another animal."
