Geri Halliwell has teamed up with UK brand Next in order to launch a line of bikinis that she will model in the ad campaign, reports Female First.
"It’s about inspiring confidence with great-looking swimwear for all body shapes. It’s for real women of all shapes and sizes," explains Halliwell.
Halliwell is best known as "Ginger " from the 1990s super-group The Spice Girls. Their 1996 debut single, Wannabe, became a huge hit, propelling the Spice Girls to international fame.
Halliwell left the group in 1998 and had mixed success with a solo career before largely retiring from the public eye in order to focus on motherhood and her career as a children’s author.
In 2007 and 2008, Halliwell reunited with the Spice Girls to go on tour. The Return of the Spice Girls tour visited five countries in Europe and North America, but caused controversy when it closed early, cancelling South American shows. The concert ended in Toronto on February 26, 2008.
In 2010, it was announced that Halliwell was making a return to music, and in April, the singer posted on her website that she was back recording in the studio.
