According to Hello magazine, Halliwell arrived this week on the African continent. The former Spice Girl hopes to raise awareness about a cause close to her heart. The 34 year-old celebrity is taking her role as United Nations Ambassador seriously, and is demanding better healthcare for mothers.
Halliwell is the mother of a six month-old daughter, Bluebell. Since becoming a mother, she has felt the urge to help more than ever. The singer explained, "As a woman and as a mother, I feel passionate about empowering women and I would like to give the women of Zambia a voice of hope."
The star chatted and joked with nursing students from Zambia, and also met with patients at the Lusaka hospital. Halliwell added, "Every woman deserves to have her baby safely."
